Well, it's almost here. In 4 days I will be Mrs. Audrey Hicks.

We are almost done with everything, but of course we keep remembering little things that we should do that we didn't think of before. I got a garter today, we worked on how Andrew will do his hair, we got a marriage license, got stuff for our guest gift, and picked up some little things like video camera tapes and such, all before 2 p.m.! Very productive.

It is very exciting to think that this time next week we will be basking in 80 degree weather in Cancun and eating whatever food we want without having to think about the price. Heavenly!

It is also exciting though to think of all the exciting parties I have this week...

1. Family Christmas party on Wednesday

2. Bachelorette/lingerie party on Thursday

3. Bridesmaid luncheon,

4. Rehearsal dinner,

5. AND New Year's Eve party on Friday

6. Wedding on Saturday!

And then the honeymoon! Endless fun. Can't wait for it all to get started!

ONLY 4 WEEKS LEFT!

I can hardly believe it. Andrew and I look at each other every day and are like...we're getting married soon....and it is shocking every time! Almost everything is done with the wedding, so now we will just be finishing up some details and anticipating the day! It still feels so unreal.

This past week I had a very lovely personal shower, put on by my 2 fantastic friends, roommates, and bridesmaids, Adrienne and Karissa. I got all sorts of great stuff- but I will give you no more details there. :) Thanks to everyone who came! I felt so loved.

Besides finals, we only have 1 week of school left in this semester. Thank heaven!

Well, it probably seemed like I had abandoned this blog, but I haven't. I have just cruelly neglected it for a couple of weeks. Give me a break though, I am a busy woman. Quite a bit of progress has been made wedding wise. My dear friend Terra Stafford took some bridal portraits for me yesterday, so I got to practice wearing my dress and shoes. I can't wait to see them! Also, our rehearsal dinner is booked, flowers are pretty much planned, and invitations are sent (as of today).

All we really have left to decide on is music, so we plan on doing that soon. It feels so good to have most of the planning done! Also, Andrew and I got some good news. We found out that he gets to move into our future apartment several weeks before they had originally told us. We thought we were going to have to move in the day after getting back from the honeymoon, which was going to be crazy, but now we get to move everything in and get it all organized beforehand. Yay!

I can't decide exactly what accessories I want to wear on the wedding day, but it is going to be cold and I will probably want to be wearing some sort of jacket during some of the pictures. I like this look:
So we will see if I can find something like this. Anyways, I will try to post more often, but I am not making any promises! :)

Three Incredibly Awesome Female Characters

These are the women that I always wish I could dress up as for Halloween, but their costumes are too expensive- or too revealing. These are the women that don't need to be saved by their buff man-friend, and who often end up saving the man and kick a lot of butt to do so.

First, there's Trinity. I have loved her since I first watched the Matrix in 7th grade. If anyone has seen the first scene of the Matrix, you would understand why she is so awesome. Also, she does all of her butt-kicking in tight leather. Impressive.

Then, there is Uma Thurman as Beatrix Kiddo, or "The Bride" in Kill Bill Volume 1, Volume 2, and in a few years, Volume 3. Anyone remember when she pulls out her nemesis's eye and steps on it? She is a beast in these movies. I also love her as Poison Ivy.

Oh, how I love Mystique. Whenever people ask me what superhero power I would have, I don't say I would fly or breath underwater, I say that I would be a shapeshifter like Mystique. Also, there is something strangely awesome about her scaly blue skin.

Anyways- there they are.

I love making lists, and I love movies. Therefore, as often as I can, I am going to post some sort of list about movies. This list has been in the making for several days now, and a lot of thought and outside input has been put into it. So here it goes.

The 5 Greatest Movie Villains
(in my humble opinion)

5. Agent Smith in The Matrix
There is just something in his voice that makes your hair stand on end. Also, it helps that he is played by Hugo Weaving, who also happens to be Lord Elrond in LOTR and V in V for Vendetta, two of my other favorite movies. Three very epic roles! In fact, I just realized that this guy is in 3 out of my top ten movies. I must like him.

4. Colonel Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds
He was played by Christoph Waltz, who is pretty much just in foreign films other than this one, but I expect that he will be in a lot more American films now. I think part of what made him so terrifying was how proper he always was as he dealt out death. He got an Oscar for the role, and I think it was well-deserved. I think most people would agree that the first scene of this movie is one of the most intense in Hollywood history.

3. Kevin the Cannibal in Sin City
Elijah Wood is kind of freaky in the first place, but in this movie he pounces around silently with his eyes whited out and he eats the flesh of women for breakfast, which makes him just plain frightening. This is pretty much a representation of what Frodo would have become had he let the ring consume him.

2. Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men
This guy came very close to first place for me. He is completely stoic and emotionless and takes pleasure in making people very, very nervous. The gas station scene in this movie definitely competes with the first scene of Inglourious Basterds in measurement of tension. This creepy guy was played by Javier Bardem, who also happens to play Julia Roberts' lover in Eat, Pray, Love. How strange.

1. The Joker in The Dark Knight
And finally, (everyone should have known it was coming), there's Heath Ledger, as the Joker. Everything about his character, from his mannerisms to his voice to his appearance, was freaky, and he somehow managed to be entertaining at the same time. Amazing performance, fantastic villain.

Well, there you have it. Feel free to tell me who else should have been on this list! My dear roommate Karissa informed me that Cruella Deville should have been on this list because, "She kills and skins puppies!" That's a pretty good argument if you ask me.

Audrey's Oddities

In this post, I have decided to list some strange things about myself. I am actually just finding out a few of these things after asking my roommates for input.

1. I don't listen to music in the car... not any. My radio stays off. I occasionally listen to stuff on a long drive, but when just driving around town, I sing. That's right, I belt out a few specific songs continually, like I would never do in front of anyone. Some of my favorites to sing are "I am 16, Going on 17" from the Sound of Music, and "Poor Unfortunate Soul" and "Part of that World" from the Little Mermaid. It is a great feeling to sing with no reservations.

2. Apparently I take showers at random times. I did not know this, but I am told that I will get up in the middle of a conversation or task, and go take a shower.

3. I unconsciously make bird and squirrel noises. This may sound strange, but if you know me, then you probably know what I mean.

4. I tend to not like bread and meat together. I don't like hamburgers or hot dogs or sandwiches... unless it is chicken. I am also okay with tacos, but other than that, I really do not enjoy the combination.

5. I don't sleep with sheets. I sleep with a fitted sheet and a comforter. That is what I have always done, so it doesn't seem strange to me, but apparently it is odd.

Alright, now you can all judge me and call me a bad art major for not being music crazy, and call me a weirdo for my lack of sheets and sandwiches, but you'll get over it, because I am sure you are strange too. :)

63

So here are my 3 costumes from this weekend:

1. I wore this one to work. I am Flo, from the Progressive commercials, if you can't figure that out.

2. This was for the Pi Halloween party. Adrienne and I were old ladies, and attractive ones too.

3. And last but not least, Andrew and I were Zombie Bride and Groom tonight at Heather's party. We were not cute.

So, in summary, it has been a great weekend. I am looking forward to tomorrow though when I won't be dressed up unattractively. Also, feel free to take the poll saying which costume was your favorite.

I can't think of anything that I can give a shout out to tonight, because I am tired. Therefore I am now going to bed. Oh! And I only worked out once this week. Nice.

65

I am very excited for this weekend... I get to dress up for Halloween 3 different times! I haven't decided how to dress up for Heather's party on Saturday night, but I know what I am wearing to work tomorrow and to the Pi party tomorrow night. Pictures to come.

Bad Rap Shout Out

Here's something that has really gotten a bad rap over the past few years: parting your hair down the middle. It is true that most of the time, it is just not cute. But let's not swear it off forever. It wasn't considered such a fashion faux pas in the past, and there are quite a few celebrities who pull it off really well.

Also, trends tend to happen in cycles, so just wait, someday all of our kids are going to be laughing at us with our lame side parts and swoop bangs. So I encourage you all to be a trend setter and start parting your hair down the middle. Of course, I am not going to, but let's face it, I'm a follower.

So there is my shout out to the middle part- maybe someday you will be cool again.

I just noticed something. The Rangers have the same tagline as Mid-America Christian University. Probably only people living around Oklahoma City know of that school, and possibly not even very many of them, because their billboards just have a huge "M" and say "It's Time". Although, they recently seemed to have realized how uninformative their billboards were, because they went back and added their website. Good for them.

Nothing much is happening in the world of wedding. We had dinner with Annaleise and Michael (who is marrying us) tonight and chatted a bit about what we want him to say, but we don't really have anything specific in mind. He pledged that he would not call me Adrienne when marrying us, and that is all I require.

Bad Rap Shout Out

And now for a very random shout-out. There are some things in this world that get a really bad rap (and yes it is "rap", not "wrap", I looked it up) and I think that they are under appreciated. So I would like to take some time in each post to call these things to our attention so that we can better appreciate them.

This is a shout out to iceberg lettuce. Just because it isn't as healthy as other types of lettuce, doesn't mean it is unhealthy. It also has a nice crunch to it that I very much enjoy and that I feel other types of lettuce are lacking in. So don't deny yourself some crunchy iceberg lettuce just because romaine is a little higher in nutritional value.

I am sure you all have forgotten my promise by now, but a couple weeks ago I pledged to start working out the day after fall break. That means today...

And I totally did! I ran two miles whilst watching Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Yes, I love it that much, and yes, I would be lying if I pretended to have ran the whole time. I really don't enjoy running, so I try not to push myself very hard so that I don't start hating it and then quit. A movie sure does make exercising less of a drag though.

In other news, here are some thoughts we had on flowers this weekend. For my bouquet, I really loved white hydrangeas.
For bridesmaids, we really liked yellow irises. I couldn't find a good picture because apparently they are normally purple when put in bouquets, but just imagine the below as yellow.
We were looking at Central Market, which had pretty good prices.

Alright- time to relax!

71

Watching a big HD flat screen for a long time makes me nauseous. This is something I have learned this weekend.

We have been pretty productive thus far wedding-wise. Groomsmen attire is chosen, and almost fully purchased. We are doing something a little different, but I think it looks really nice. The sweater is gray and the guys are going to wear black ties. Except Andrew, who is thinking about wearing a yellow one.
We also looked at flowers today and got some ideas, and went to look at the venue again. I am still in love with it! Thank goodness.

Also, apparently Payless dyes wedding shoes. Who knew? So I ordered a pair from there, but the very honest consultant said that most of the time they don't turn out the color you expect... so I expect that I will have to return them. But we will see! Maybe I will get lucky. Here is what they look like though.
When they are dyed, the material is satin, so they look nicer. Not that I am worried about that.

Andrew and I are driving to Georgetown in the morning to see some of my old friends! I need to sleep.

73

FINALLY, IT IS FALL BREAK!

I have been dying to come home and see the family for some time now. I hadn't even seen Rachel since before Andrew and I got engaged! I am home now though, and am ready to do some wedding planning.

Tomorrow, Andrew, Rachel and I are going to do some shopping. We need groomsmen attire, shoes for me, and shoes for the bridesmaids! I absolutely HAVE to get shoes tomorrow morning, because I am getting my dress altered at 4 p.m.! I would really love to have something just like the below shoes, but we will see if I can find any at a good price.
Also, we got something very important done tonight for the wedding. We FINALLY decided what food we wanted. We had so many options from our caterer, and we got to choose 3 things plus the fruit and cheese display, so it was very difficult to figure out a good balance. One of our food stations is a sesame chicken skewer station...delicious.

Well, if all goes as planned, I will have a wedding update every day this week.

77

I am going to tell you all something is very difficult for me to say, and something that I have thought over thoroughly and with painstaking diligence.

My top 10 movie list.

I love movies, but I am also a pretty big movie critic. I don't like to waste my time going to see a movie that is only so-so. I want epicness, I want complex plots, I want top notch acting, and I DO NOT WANT CHEESINESS. If you are going to have people fall in love in your movie, find an original way to do it, or try and do it realistically. Don't do it the way that thousands of other movies have done before. Ok, stepping down from the soapbox.

I am not claiming these movies to be the top 10 best movies ever, they just happen to be my favorites. Also, I change my mind about the order of these constantly. But #1 is for sure my #1.

1. Lucky Number Slevin. This movie has everything that makes a movie great. Witty dialogue, great characters, a complex plot, an unexpected twist, action, love, etc. And really bizarre wallpaper. If you can't tell, I love this movie. You should watch it.

2. V for Vendetta. This movie is just so epic. Oh, and I love Natalie Portman, especially because of her rap on SNL.
3. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Best adaption from a book, ever. I love the first two as well, but I am not going to put more than one movie from a series in my top ten, just for diversity's sake.
4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In the past this was my number 1, but it has been bumped down a few spots because it lacks the epic quality of the previous 3.

5. Little Miss Sunshine. You know a movie is good when it literally makes you gasp. When the son found out that he was color blind and therefore couldn't be in the air force... wow. Any movie that can devastate you that much is a good movie.

6. O Brother, Where Art Thou? This movie is very loosely based on the Odyssey. Very, very loosely.
7. Inglourious Basterds. This movie is great overall, but it mainly makes the top ten because of one single scene: when the farmer is being interrogated to see if he is hiding any Jews. The tension in the air was almost tangible.
8. Maverick. Mel Gibson at his best, in my opinion. Thanks to my Aunt Julie, for convincing me to watch this movie so many years ago.
9. The Matrix (Number 1). Don't get me started about the next two, but I do love the first one.
10. Shaun of the Dead. This movie may seem a little out of place on this list, but what would this list be without a good Zombie movie on it? And yes, I do prefer it to Zombieland, although I do love that movie as well.

So there's my list. I can't end this post though without mentioning my 5 favorite comedies. I didn't include them on the list because I just feel like they are too different from the other movies and deserve their own list. In no particular order, here they are.
  • Anchorman
  • Hot Rod
  • Zoolander
  • Tommy Boy
  • The Hangover

Alright, now you know.

79

So, I am trying to get rid of a few of my bad habits before I get married. Not necessarily because Andrew doesn't like them, but more because I would just like to start our marriage in a state that is as physically and mentally healthy as possible. I am going to fess up on what five of these habits are so that you all will watch me and make sure I don't do them unconsciously.

1. Biting my nails. This is a long standing habit that I definitely do without thinking, especially during movies and lectures. Apparently I do it when I have nothing else to do with my hands, so if you are going to ask me to watch a movie, then give me a snack or something that will last the whole time. Thanks.

2. Drinking coke as if its... the other coke. People, my first word was coke. Literally. It is in my bloodstream. I have now gone 21 days without drinking one, and my mouth is literally watering right now just thinking about it. Do not tempt me, for I WILL give in.

3. Never, EVER flossing. Apparently flossing is important. Somehow I think my dentist failed to emphasize this to me, or perhaps I chose not to listen. I bought some floss a few weeks ago and I think I have flossed 3 times now, which is better than nothing, but I would prefer to make it a daily thing.

4. Putting things in strange places, and then forgetting that I did. This is really something that needs to stop before I marry Andrew. He has a place for everything, and does not lose things. Ever. Losing things is like a daily thing for me, and I think he would prefer that I stop because once we live together, I would be losing his stuff too.

5. Never exercising. I type this one reluctantly, because this is something I really don't want to start doing. Yes, I know that I always feel good about myself afterwards, but actually doing is just not enjoyable to me. And making time to do it sucks, especially when I could be doing something so much more productive, like watching Glee. :) This is why I am not starting my exercise routine until Day 68, which is now looming uncomfortably close.

Alright, there you have it. If you see my biting my nails, slap my hand away. If you have a coke in your hand, don't come within 30 feet of me. Whenever I smile, tell me I have stuff in my teeth and need to go floss, whether I actually do or not. If you see me put my wallet in the fridge, make me aware. And finally, make sure to laugh haughtily when you see me out of breath after walking up the stairs. Do this for me, and maybe I will overcome these habits in 79 days.

I found my dress today!!

Bridal Company in Denton was amazing. I tried on so many dresses that I liked, whereas at other places I was having a hard time finding anything, and all of them were so much better priced than anywhere else than I had looked. Obviously I am not going to post a picture of my dress, but I will post some of the ones that didn't work!

The one in the store that I loved fit me, so I was able to buy it right there and bring it to school with me! I am so relieved to have finally found a dress that I love so much and that was a great price.

Also, after trying on veils there I think I have changed my mind on what I want. I have always wanted a birdcage veil, but I think the style of my dress is more suited for a longer veil. I want to wear my hair all pinned up in the back and wear the veil at the bottom of my hair. We will see. I am so happy!

86

I have had a very relaxing evening. It was not at all productive, but I have watched a lot of quality television with my roommates/bridesmaids, so that's always nice.

One thing we did pretty much decide on tonight is our music. My aunt's office mate is in a little guitar duo that plays at weddings and small venues and such. They are pretty popular in Fort Worth and are extremely talented. Here's the link- let me know what you think! Kevin Townson

I can't wait to go wedding dress shopping on Saturday!!

87

I can't wait for the weekend! I feel like after this week is over, I won't be quite as busy. I am excited for that. Hopefully by Monday, I will have found my dress and finalized almost everything for the wedding. I can't believe how quickly it is approaching! It still gives me chills (the good kind) to thing about my wedding.

Today, Andrew and I had our first day of marriage counseling. It went well, and we are excited to continue it. It has been really tough figuring out a time that we can actually go, seeing as that I work Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and he works Tuesday and Thursday. We figured something out though.

Well, I don't have much else to say, but I do still have homework to do!

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

88

Ok, ok, so I missed a few days. Shame on me. It is ironic, because the first days that I missed were right after I stopped working at J-Crew, so I wasn't even as busy as I normally am! I guess I was just enjoying the freedom so much that I forgot about my blog for a while. The weekend was great because we were celebrating my dear Adrienne's birthday. A big group of us went to Cheesecake Factory on Monday night and it was a blast.

Soon I am going to decide at what point I am going to kick into gear with the exercising and the whole eating "healthy" thing to prepare for the wedding. I was going to start at 100 days, but clearly that did not happen. I am thinking that perhaps after this week is over (since it is Greek Week and very busy) I will begin... Or maybe after fall break. I like that idea better. So let's solidify this: On Monday, the 25th of October, when there are 68 days remaining until my wedding day, I will start my exercise and healthy eating routine. There!

I do have a little bit of excitement coming up this weekend related to the wedding. Karissa and I are going to meet my mom in Denton so that we can look at Bridal Company, a huge discount wedding store. I have a good feeling about this place! If I don't find something there, then I am going to David's Bridal to try on a dress that I saw online, and if I like it then I am going to order it from oncewed.com, because I found it in my size on there. So, this weekend I might actually find my wedding dress!! I can't believe I close I am to being a married woman.

92

92 days, also known as, 3 months!

I still do not feel motivated to exercise. I have been flossing though, so I guess that's a start.

On another note, I have a confession. I gave in tonight, and I bought another cardigan. It was only $20, but I still feel a little bad since I had pledged that the previous cardigan I bought from JCrew would be the last. If weather permitted, I would wear one of those cardigans every single day. They are my absolute favorite article of clothing; they are comfortable, modest, stylish, and can be worn over dresses or t-shirts. Totally worth the money.

I had a very busy day today, but it was actually a pretty good one. I am thoroughly enjoying my internship; the day really just flies by. I worked there from 8 to 5 and then worked at JCrew from 6 to 10, but I really didn't get tired! I am glad to be back at the apartment relaxing though.

Anyways, I have nothing to reveal about the wedding today... everything that is left is still undecided. I suppose I could reveal a very decided part of my wedding party... my parents!

My dad, Bruce, is an electrical engineer for AT&T. Fun stuff! My mom, Melanie, is a 3rd grade teacher in Mansfield. Fun fact: my dad is 6'3" and my mom is 5'3".
I am sure that many people claim that they have the best parents ever, but I am pretty sure that I got them. :)

The end!

93

Well, there's not a lot to reveal in the wedding world today. I sent out the Save the Dates (about 2 weeks after we originally intended to) but they are sent nonetheless. I haven't had much luck with finding wedding dresses, but there was one at Bella Rose that I really liked that I found online today at oncewed.com, a site that resells wedding dresses. It was about $300 less on the site and has never been worn.... so it is a possibility. I am hesitant to order online now, after the David's Bridal fail. But this is different, because I have actually tried this dress on before and I know that I love it. I might go for it, but first I want to get the money back from David's Bridal.

I am currently watching Firefly, the wonderful space-western TV series that Ben Peterson introduced to me and many other lucky people. I just wish our whole Firefly watching group was here to sing the theme song with me!

Wedding reveal of the day: Our honeymoon is finally booked!

We are going to an all-inclusive, adults only resort; The Royal in Cancun. Here is what our suite will look like:

How amazing is that?? We are leaving January 2nd in the late morning and will return January the 6th at night. We decided we would want to be back for a few days before school started back up. We are also very excited about moving into Phase 2.

I did a great job today on not stressing out over the amount of work I have to do. I worked alone in the Nowlin Center for a couple of hours, then took a break to watch Survivor and eat dinner, worked a little more, and now I am breaking to blog while in the hammock. The weather has been so perfect that I could stay in this thing all day!

*15 minutes later*

The stinkin fire alarm went off, so we had to go to the Nowlin Center. Adrienne and I have decided that these incessant fire drills are only making it more likely that we will NOT react when an actual fire occurs. Anyways, back to homework.

95

Well, Andrew made the trip down to Dallas this morning and did some taste testing with my madre. Apparently the chicken guacamole tostada is amazing, so that is for sure one thing that we will have at our reception. Also, we are going to have hot chocolate for everyone while they are setting up tables after the ceremony. (That's all I've got for the wedding reveal of the day). Andrew also got to see our venue, and he was very pleased with it. And he went to find out how to get Michael ordained, and apparently Tarrant County requires absolutely nothing for someone to be considered a minister, so we can check that task off of our list.

We have very few things left to accomplish. We have almost all of the big things done, such as venue, bridesmaid dresses, caterer, photographer, and minister. Andrew and I still need to figure out what we are wearing, and we need to decide on music and videography, but my Aunt Julie is taking care of all of the flower stuff, so I am not worried about that. Overall, we are doing very well on planning, considering the short amount of time we have had to plan it.

I keep waiting for down time, but it never comes. A lesson I learned today is that I can't keep waiting to have time to relax, I just have to make time for it. I had my to do list written out for every minute of the day, with no down time, but a person just can't live that way and be happy. So instead of doing homework for the thirty minutes I had between going to the post office and going to meeting, I took a nap in the hammock. Totally worth it.

Ok, its Glee time.

96

A few things that I appreciated today:

Having pockets in my skirt
Eating lunch outdoors
Two dresses that came in the mail for me to try on
Adrienne making puppy chow
Having a roommate that knows everything about music

A few things that I did not appreciate today:

Stepping in gum
The two dresses not working out... at all
Not having time to send our Save the Dates

Overall, I would say the first list outweighs the second. I wish that one of the wedding dresses would have worked, but let's face it, my hopes weren't terribly high in the first place. The weather was absolutely perfect today (I could hardly get enough of it), the gum didn't really stick to my shoe much, and I can pretty much just send out the Save the Dates tomorrow. So although it was a busy day, it was not completely unsuccessful.

Tomorrow Andrew is driving to Dallas to do some taste tasting with our caterers... about 8 hours of driving in one day to go have some samples. Hopefully it will be worth it though and he will figure out which of their foods are the best and also discover how to get Michael Mitchell ordained so that he can marry us! That will be the wedding reveal of the day- our minister! Michael is our college minister at Mayfair Church of Christ.

By the way, thus far I have stayed true to my no coke pledge! I have even outlawed Coke Zero! Clearly this is true love.

97

This is a big week! I'll work my last shift at J-Crew and will start my new job at T & S Web Design! As much as I love that discount at J-Crew, I think I am actually going to save money by quitting that job. That discount is very deceiving... I get 50% off, which sounds like a lot, but 50% off of a $70 T-shirt still comes to about 3 times more than I would normally pay for a shirt. It may be best that I get away from that job. My new job is right by Jimmy Johns in walking distance and will give me Graphic and Web Design experience, so I am very excited about it. I will now have weekends free and will just be busier during the week. Fantastic.

My wedding reveal for the day will be my beautiful bridesmaids. By the way, I love it when things make sense numerically, so I really like it that I have 6 bridesmaids , 2 sisters, 2 friends from college, and 2 friends from home. Below are my two sisters. The one on the right is Mrs. Rachel Archer, age 23, and the one in the middle is Kayce, age 17, who is now a redhead!

The next are Adrienne Perrey and Karissa Taylor, my fabulous roommates from OC. We've been tied at the hip since the first week here.
And finally we have Alex Burbey and April Girouard, my dear old friends from Mansfield. I am so blessed to have all of these great friends!

98

I am starting to wish I wasn't keeping such close track of how many days are left until we are married... it is making it go by so much slower. Too late though, I am already committed to this countdown. You'd think I would be so incredibly motivated to exercise and eat healthy and to begin a three month beauty treatment so that I will be toned and glowing at the wedding, but I am just not. Maybe when the countdown says 75 days... or 50...

Anyways, today I slept in, took a trip to Moore with Andrew, and then went to Pi's excellent rush event in Bricktown, the Amazing Race with Psi! I haven't run that much in a long time, but it was great. I think I am going to add being on a reality TV show to my list of life goals. I am thinking Survivor would be my number 1 choice, but perhaps Andrew and I could do the Amazing Race. But maybe not, seeing as that I am directionally challenged and am literally blinded when I am under a lot of pressure.

Wedding reveal for the day is a few of our engagement pictures, taken by Joe Moore, one of Andrew's groomsmen.

Aren't they lovely? And don't we look like miniature people in that second one?

Alright, I am going on a date. :)
